Umaid Bhawan Palace

The Royal palace of Jodhpur was built by Maharaja Umaid Singh (1929 -1942) and named after him. It is an example of marvelous ruler who gave job to thousand at the time of need when people of Jodhpur were starving from the draught. Umaid Bhawan Palace was built by local stone named as “Chittar” so alternative local people also call Umaid Bhawan as “Chittar Palace”. Mehrangarh Fort

Mehrangarh Jodhpur fort is just 2 Km away from Leela Villas. The landmark fort was built by founding ruler Rao Jodha in 1459 AD. Mehrangarh fort such a colossal in its proportion and well maintained till date that you will be amazed to see. I am sure you will acknowledge Jodhpur fort as living legend Jodhpur history. Mehrangarh can also be seen while having dinner at roof top restaurant at Leela Villas.

Jaswant Thada

Jawant Thada a close by monument to Mehrangarh Fort was built in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II , in 1899. Monument built in white polished marble. The cenotaph houses portraits of successive rulers. There are four cenotaphs commemorate notable acts of bravery, generosity of the four successive rulers.

Girdikot & Sardarkot Market (Clock Tower Jodhpur)

The local market or also know as old bazaar Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower) is well known as Sardarkot Market. Old narrow lanes give glimpse of old city and old time. The old tiny shop exhibits the traditional and authentic stuff like Rajasthani textile, handicraft, silver jewelry and spices.
